Trail Maps - Topographic Maps.

Acme Mapper provides online, interactive maps including road, satellite, hybrid, topographic, DOQ and NEXRAD maps. Topographic trail maps are especially useful. Both Acme Mapper and Google Maps (see road maps above) use WGS-84 datum with longitude and latitude expressed in digital degrees. (Acme can also use position data expressed in other units.)

  • Jump to a desired location on Acme Mapper by entering a place name or position data (e.g. N 36.46502 W 116.86870) into the white box in the Acme Mapper control panel, then click on the Find button to jump to that location on the map.
  • Doubleclick on an interesting location on the Acme Map, then the map will center on that location and the coordinates will be visible in the upper gold box in the control panel.
  • Once the Acme Map is positioned and zoomed to a desired location, click on Link to this page, then save a favorite or bookmark to enable revisiting that map location in the future.
