Sunrise Moonset at Death Valley National Park

Just as the sun was rising in the east the full moon was setting in the west. This incredible scenic opportunity made it necessary to get up before sunrise. Then we drove to some spots where we could take pictures of the Death Valley landscape in the magic light of early morning.

In the early morning calm the shallow lake at Badwater made a nice reflecting surface. We knew that we had come to the right place because pro and semi-pro photographers were lined up elbow-to-elbow at 6AM in the morning to photograph this scenery.
