Gardens in Davis. 

Even though the weather was still cool, grey and rainy, the flowers provided an unmistakable sign of springtime !!

Cloudy days in between rainstorms provided great light for flower photography. This gentle light provided pictures without a lot of harsh shadows. We did have to hunt around sometimes to find flowers that hadn't been beaten up by the rains.

Walking around the neighborhood I found lots of flowers blooming in people's front yards and a hummingbird sitting on her nest. Update: two baby hummingbirds have now hatched out !!

Even the pine trees make a subtle show in the springtime.
