Class Summary.

Blogs and wikis are designed to be quick and easy ways for anybody to add their own information on the Internet and communicate with others with similar interests. Students will learn the basics of creating pages on blog and wiki websites. Students will set up free accounts at a blog hosting service and learn the rules and recommendations for making a great blog and participating fully in the blogosphere. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills using Windows and using the Internet. This will be a 5 week, 10 hour class.


Topic List (tentative) - 5 weeks.

   1. Searching the blogosphere. Setting up your blog account.
   2. Adding text and pictures.
   3. Blog settings and options.
   4. Template editing and blog publicity.
   5. Exploring wikis - adding text and pictures.
