Class Summary.

This course will cover the basics of maintaining security and privacy while using the Internet. Students will learn how to protect their computers and their private information while taking advantage of all the great resources available on the Internet. We will demonstrate how to set up a multilayer defense against the many hazards of the online environment.

   1. Hardening Windows, User Awareness.
   2. Antivirus, Antiworm, Antitrojan.
   3. Spyware, Secure Clients.
   4. Firewall, Startup Program Monitor.
   5. Online Privacy.
